Bendigo Mine Impacted Water Project

Description: Assessment of a proposed 4 km pipeline designed to pump contaminated groundwater from existing mines in the central Bendigo urbanised area to a new treatment plant in Kangaroo Flat, before discharging treated water via Bendigo Creek. We conducted initial flora and fauna assessments involving public and private land with multiple stakeholder agencies involved. Our assessments highlighted ecological values and constraints which accompanied by or recommendations involved the design and micro-siting of project infrastructure to minimise impacts of the environment and community.
